Eileen Crane

 

Often referred to as America’s Doyenne of Sparkling Wine, Eileen has spent more than 30 years in the industry; making her the most experienced sparkling winemaker in the Americas.

Born and raised in NJ, an interest in wine evolved around the stories her father told about the wines in his cellar.
In 1978 she briefly attended classes in Davis, then headed to Napa to begin her career. Eileen has always been
fascinated by the magic of sparkling wines and she has been responsible for overseeing the construction and development of two major sparkling houses. Today as CEO/Founding Winemaker of Domaine Carneros, she heads one of the most prestigious and successful Sparkling Houses.

Eileen Crane is one of a handful of women who are now in the forefront of the wine industry in California, recently named by Forbes magazine as the most powerful woman in Napa Valley. Eileen is actively involved in numerous wine and civic organizations and has served as chair of the board of Napa Valley Hospice. In Joining the Legacy of Compassion Campaign as Co-Vice Chair she brings her tremendous enthusiasm for Hospice’s work in the Napa Valley and a commitment to helping the organization realize its dream.
